While Mr. Skin won’t encourage the stereotype that Latinas are more hot-blooded than US ladies, he will say that watching Spanish siren Yoima Valdés does make him feel very hot. Trained as an actress at the prestigious Juan Carlos Corazza school in Madrid, she made her first two debuts on the big screen, in Airbag (1997) and Spanish Fly (1998), then hit the little screen for a regular role as Deisy in the TV series A las once en casa, or At 11 o’clock at home, in 1999. Yoima’s big breakthrough came when she was cast as Sandra in Álex de la Iglesia’s award-winning 800 Bullets (2002). Not only did the film give a boost to her career, but it also landed Yoima on Skin Central, as the curvaceous siren bares all her private bits in various scenes, each of them prettier than the last. She got sexy as Eva in Slam (2003), and went for more bare-breasted action as Yoly in Un rey en La Habana (2005), aka A King in Havana; and playing Yurima in El cuerno de la Bundancia(2008), aka Horn of Plenty. Yoima is also known for other parts on the silver screen, as Olga in Agua con sal(2005), aka Water with salt, for which she won a Best Actress Silver Colon at the Huelva Latin American Film Festival; playing Rosa in Guts (2009); as Teresa in The Open Door (2016); in Until We Fall (2018) as Emilio’s mother; and another prominent mother figure in Out in the Open (2019).
